Vestry

The Vestry is responsible for the temporal and secular affairs of the Parish, serving as trustees of church property and funds and as the legal representative of the Parish.

The members of the Vestry are elected by the congregation at the Annual Parish Meeting for three-year terms. The Rector and Deacon are non-voting ex officio members. The Rector is the Chair of the Vestry.

The Vestry has two Wardens: the Senior Warden is appointed by the Rector from among the Vestry members and leads the Parish in the Rector’s vacancy. The Junior Warden is elected by and of the Vestry and is responsible for the Parish building and grounds.

The Vestry may optionally appoint a Clerk and Treasurer, who may or may not be Vestry members.
